After last month’s magic of three, working with lavender, lemon, and rose geranium, all super strong, well known ingredients battling it out to get prominence, we are going down a lesser known path.

This month we get a bit more sophisticated, with the inclusion of some less commonly used essential oils, namely Peru Balsam and Myrrh.

Rosewood
Indian Rosewood essential oil is steam distilled from the chippings of the Dalbergia Sissoo Tree, also known as the Himalayan Raintree. This medium to large sized tree is native to the foothills of the Himalayas and the Indian subcontinent. It’s a fast-growing, deciduous tree with a crooked trunk, leathery leaves and white-pink flowers.
